Chicken Crust Pizza Recipe
Chicken Crust Pizza (2 Servings)
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) ground chicken (preferably lean)
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup sugar-free pizza sauce (or homemade marinara)
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded (more for topping)
- 1/4 cup pepperoni slices (or any preferred toppings like veggies, chicken, etc.)
- Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
1) Prepare the Chicken Crust:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, shredded mozzarella, grated parmesan, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is fully combined.
- Transfer the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and form it into a round pizza shape, about 8-10 inches in diameter. Use your hands or a spatula to flatten and smooth the edges.
- Bake the crust for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the crust is cooked through.
2) Add the Toppings:
- Remove the chicken crust from the oven. Spread a thin layer of sugar-free pizza sauce evenly over the crust.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top, followed by your choice of toppings (pepperoni, veggies, additional chicken, etc.).
- Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
3) Garnish and Serve:
- Remove the pizza from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves (optional) and serve!
