Chicken Crust Pizza Recipe

Chicken Crust Pizza (2 Servings)

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground chicken (preferably lean)
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup sugar-free pizza sauce (or homemade marinara)
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded (more for topping)
  • 1/4 cup pepperoni slices (or any preferred toppings like veggies, chicken, etc.)
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1) Prepare the Chicken Crust:

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, shredded mozzarella, grated parmesan, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is fully combined.
  • Transfer the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and form it into a round pizza shape, about 8-10 inches in diameter. Use your hands or a spatula to flatten and smooth the edges.
  • Bake the crust for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the crust is cooked through.

2) Add the Toppings:

  • Remove the chicken crust from the oven. Spread a thin layer of sugar-free pizza sauce evenly over the crust.
  • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top, followed by your choice of toppings (pepperoni, veggies, additional chicken, etc.).
  • Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

3) Garnish and Serve:

  • Remove the pizza from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Garnish with fresh basil leaves (optional) and serve!
