Smash Burger Wrap Recipe

Smash Burger Wraps (2 Servings)

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb (225g) ground beef (80% lean, or leaner if preferred)
  • 2 large lettuce leaves (for wrapping, such as Romaine or Iceberg)
  • 2 tbsp shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • 2 tbsp diced onions
  • 1 tbsp sugar-free ketchup
  • 1/2 tbsp mustard (optional)
  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional toppings: pickles, tomatoes, avocado

Instructions

1) Prepare the Burger Patties:

  • Divide the ground beef into 2 portions and form loose balls (about 4 oz each).

2) Smash the Patties:

  • Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
  • Once hot, place each beef ball onto the skillet. Using a spatula, smash each one flat to about 1/2 inch thick.
  • Season with salt and pepper and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until nicely browned and cooked through.

3) Assemble the Wrap:

  • Place a large lettuce leaf flat on a plate.
  • Add a cooked Smash Burger patty on top of each lettuce leaf.
  • Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese, diced onions, and any other toppings you like (pickles, tomatoes, avocado).

4) Finish the Wrap:

  • Drizzle with sugar-free ketchup and mustard (if desired).
  • Carefully fold the lettuce over the burger to wrap it up. Serve immediately!
